Performance Settings

The performance settings of the Spin32Poker.com client can be modified under the Performance tab of the Lobby settings window. To access this, click on the Lobby, click the Settings button, and then click on the Performance tab. Settings can be modified as follows:

Graphics Performance

Graphics performance can be modified from Best Performance to Best Graphics. By default the client is set to Best Graphics. This means it will render the client on the screen using the very best image quality. This option makes the client look great however on slower PC's this option may slow down game play. Thus if you are experiencing sluggish performance or slow game play, try setting this value to Best Performance. This will reduce the quality of the images in the client but it will speed up the performance of game play.
 
Under "Performance" you can adjust Performance/Graphic settings and turn animations on/off

Animations

Animations in the client can be turned off or on. By default the client is set to show animations on. This means things like cards and chips in the poker game will move smoothly across the screen. This option makes the client look great however on slower PC's this option may slow down game play. Thus if you are experiencing sluggish performance or slow game play, try turning animations off. This means chips and cards will no longer move smoothly in the client but it will speed up the performance of game play.

Automatic Detection of Slow PCs

The client periodically checks the speed of game play and if it determines you are falling behind or experiencing slow play, it will automatically turn off animations. If this happens you will receive a popup warning message stating "We have detected your client is running slowly. Animations have been
disabled and graphics quality reduced, these
settings can be altered in the Lobby."

Separate Game Windows and Memory Usage

The more games you open the more memory your client will consume and the harder your PC will have to work. This can in turn lead to sluggish performance and slow game play. Memory consumption can be reduced by restricting the number of games you have open at the same time (regardless of whether you are watching or playing).
Memory consumption can be further reduced by choosing to open new games in the Lobby instead of in separate windows. This can be configured under the Window tab of the Lobby settings window. To access this, click on the Lobby, click the Settings button, and then click on the Window tab. Select the Game Window Mode called Lobby Window. By default the client has this option selected.

Other Factors Affecting Performance

If you have tried modifying all the settings above and are still experiencing sluggish performance or slow game play, please ensure that you close all other applications on your PC before running the Spin32Poker.com client. This includes all open programs in the task bar and all applications running in your system tray.
